Diet: The Foundation of Healing

Food and beverages are your primary source of daily toxin exposure, which is why I consider dietary correction the first and most important step in addressing autoimmune disease. I experienced measurable improvement shortly after removing constant inflammatory and chemical burdens and replacing them with the micronutrients I lacked most of my life. Making this simple lifestyle change made the cravings from fasting more manageable.

These same dietary principles also apply to other chronic conditions such as cancer and heart disease.

Core Principles

100% Organic

Eliminate all pesticide, herbicide, and chemical exposure. A little compromise in the short run often leads to full compromise in the long run.

Low-Carb / Ketogenic Approach

Helps stabilize blood sugar, reduce inflammation, and support metabolic flexibility.

Eliminate Inflammatory Triggers

Processed foods, refined sugars, artificial sweeteners, seed oils, gluten, conventional dairy, and GMOs.

Drink Water Only

Drink purified or distilled water only — add a pinch of pink Himalayan salt to restore trace minerals. Avoid bottled water; plastic leaches hormone-disrupting chemicals like BPA directly into the water, contributing to immune dysfunction and inflammation.

The War on Fat: How We Were Misled

For decades, we were told that fat was the enemy — that butter, tallow, and animal fats would clog our arteries and kill us. This was one of the greatest nutritional deceptions of our time.

The truth is that traditional fats like butter, beef tallow, coconut oil, avocado oil, and extra virgin olive oil are some of the healthiest fats for the human body. They are stable, nutrient-dense, and have been part of the human diet for thousands of years.

Meanwhile, the highly processed vegetable and seed oils (canola, soybean, corn, sunflower) that replaced them are chemically unstable, highly inflammatory, and loaded with omega-6 fats that drive chronic disease. These industrial oils are the real culprits behind arterial plaque and widespread inflammation — not natural saturated fats.

The war on fat also robbed our brains of the cholesterol they desperately need. Your nervous system literally runs on cholesterol. By depriving it of this essential building block, we have impaired neurological function, mood regulation, and overall resilience.

Shortly after I eliminated all seed oils and began relying primarily on animal fats and traditional healthy fats, my inflammation dropped dramatically. I felt better than I had in years. Today at 42, I feel like I'm in my 20s.

My Grocery List

All items should be organically grown without exception. If it's not, then simply do not buy it.

A Final Word of Truth

You are in a health crisis.

Resolution requires extreme measures — not a mythical pill, but renewed commitment and unwavering discipline. No doctor can heal you, nor should we expect them to remove a burden we placed on ourselves through decades of poor consumption and environmental toxins we naively embraced.

Only consistent personal accountability for what goes into your body will restore your health.

Remember: You have not failed until you stop trying.

I committed to 100% clean eating for approximately 30–45 days before advancing to structured fasting protocols. That disciplined foundation eased the challenges of fasting.
