"The Ancient Sorcery Behind Modern Medicine"
In the Bible, the Greek word pharmakeia — from which we derive the modern word "pharmacy" — is repeatedly condemned as a form of sorcery. It referred not only to the use of drugs and potions, but to the deceptive manipulation of the body and mind through chemical means, often intertwined with idolatry and spiritual control. Today, the pharmaceutical industry has perfected this ancient craft on a global scale. What was once practiced in secret by sorcerers is now executed in boardrooms and laboratories, where the promise of healing has been replaced by the pursuit of lifelong dependency.
Under the banner of science and compassion, powerful potions — chemical compounds — are developed, patented, and marketed. Not to restore the body's God-given ability to heal, but to manage disease indefinitely, fostering more symptoms all while generating enormous profit.
Society has come to worship doctors in much the same way ancient parishioners once revered high priests. We place our ultimate trust in white coats and prescriptions, often with greater faith than we place in God Himself. Many will question their pastor or doubt the Scriptures, yet accept every word from their physician without question.
In this way, pharmakeia has not disappeared — it has simply been industrialized, medicalized, and made respectable, while quietly drawing the hearts of men away from the true Healer.

Galatians 5:19–21
"Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery [pharmakeia], enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God."
Revelation 18:23
